Planning Process:

 

 

Identify Concerns:

 

I identified my concern when I realized that my FCCLA chapter was getting bigger and it was harder for information to spread around for my fellow chapter members and the community. The only way to get information spread around was by word of mouth, or the FCCLA facebook page my advisor had set up. Some people don't have facebook, and the only way they could hear about information for my FCCLA chapter would be word of mouth. I knew that someone in my chapter had to create something to accomodate everyone. I though that not only would a chapter website would be just the thing to solve this issue.

 

Set A Goal:

 

Throughout this project, I have both project goals and personal goals.

 

• Personal Goals

  • ​Get people in my local community informed about FCCLA.

  • Make a user friendly chapter website that people would use for along time.

  • Keep the chapter website updated and maintained all the time.

• Project Goals

  • ​Create the chapter website and get it approved my principal by February first.

  • To accomplish a chapter website that will be useful for my West Lyon FCCLA chapter and community.

  • Make it easier for information to be spread around my chapter.

 

 

Form A Plan:

 

    Who: The West Lyon FCCLA Chapter

 

    What: West Lyon FCCLA chapter website

 

    Where:School and my house. 

 

    When: September 1 - July 5

 

    Why: To make it easier to get information spread around my FCCLA chapter and around my community.

 

    How:

 

• Talk to my principal about getting a chapter email.

• Research websites that are free website builders.

• Create a West Lyon FCCLA chapter website.

• Publish my website.

• Make people aware of my website.  

• Submit final website to National FCCLA in the junior category.

• Present website at nationals in Washington, D.C. in July.

 

 

Act:

 

I had a meeting with my principal to get my project approved and to create an email account for my chapter. I tried Google Sites as well as Wix to make my website. I will edit the website, and after I am done editing it I will publish it. After Iwas done with that,  I attached all of our social media sites: Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter so our followers are informed that we now have a brand new chapter website!

 

 

Follow Up:

 

I believe that this website helped my chapter tremendously by being able to get information out much easier to my chapter members and community members. It is important for the community to know what we are doing so we will have continued support. I now have an easier time getting important information to the chapter. Not only did this help out my chapter, it also informed the FCCLA parents on upcoming events.
